I have a data list based on recent giving that is used to generate interactions. To make the gifts drop off the data list and to mark the interaction as being related to a revenue record, I created a gift attribute to house the revenue lookup id, which has also been added to that view form by way of attribute form extension. The current process is that, from the data list, the user clicks the 'add interaction' button, most of the interaction information is defaulted, but they have to manually add the revenue lookup id to the extended form field. Is there a way to be able to default this field from data list information the same way I can add other defaults via the 'add interaction' task's properties?

Could you pull it from the database when your extension is loading based on the context that is passed into the form?  I'm slightly confused as to what you are ultimately doing - why do you need the revenue's lookup ID?
Thanks for your response. The reason I am using the revenue lookup id is that this is how we are associating an interaction with a revenue record, since there isn't a better way of doing this. Not only does the revenue lookup id provide a textual reference, its presence also serves to make the originating gift drop off the data list once the follow up interaction is logged.

As for your suggestion, I'm not really sure. Attributes require that the parent record exist first. It sounds like your suggestion is what I'm trying to do. However, when I try to set the default, the attribute form extension is not an available target field.
